Continuing the conversation regarding government desire to transition from gas to electric energy, we have invited FortisBC to speak to the Phoenix Group. Doug Slater who is FortisBC, Vice President, Indigenous Relations & Regulatory Affairs, recently wrote an op-ed in BIV about this issue (see link below), and Mr. Brent Graham, Director, Government Relations and Public Policy will join us.

Mr. Graham will speak to the need for a balanced and diversified approach to climate action as the most affordable, feasible and reliable option for British Columbians. Mr. Graham will share how FortisBC is supporting the move to clean energy utilizing the existing gas and electric systems, including ensuring all renewable and low carbon energy options like Renewable Natural Gas are leveraged in an efficient and cost-effective way, to meet BC’s climate goals using safe and reliable infrastructure.
