Jim DeHart is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service with 31 years of experience as a U.S. diplomat. In 2022, he completed his two-year assignment as U.S. Coordinator for the Arctic Region. In 2021, Jim helped lead the evacuation of American citizens and Afghan Allies from Kabul and led the Afghanistan Task Force in Washington. He assumed the role of Consul General in Vancouver with responsibility for British Columbia and Yukon in July 2023.
Jim will discuss U.S. priorities in the region, including opportunities for further collaboration between the United States and Canada.
